Just to be clear, there's a difference between namespaces and categories. Namespaces are typically prefixed groupings like the proposed CVAR:. You can see MediaWiki's namespaces. Categories are way more flexible. In that you can create these on the fly, and articles can belong to multiple categories. With namespaces, we can effectively divide the wiki into sub-wikis, by grouping content types together. Whereas, categories group in a different way.

Namespaces also become prefixes to article titles (e.g. FAQ:TF2).

So, in this thread, we want to nail down what namespaces we'll have. Here's a current list:
