I don't know if this is already available, but here is my idea:

we write a server plugin for sourcemod etc. which can display any kind of information which is a given format.

The information will be fetched either via udp or tcp and will be either in rss or custom xml format.

The information itself could be anything.
Displaying server information, clan website news, world news, stats or even all together.
also long as the information resource is in the given format, the plugin can display it. As play text at first. Don't know if pictures will work...

what do you think ?

I've been out of the loop for awhile from sourcemod. Is there not already a plugin for that... Sounds like an hlstats kind of thing. However sounds cool. Should there be some kind of web based administration for the server ? IMO that would be cool. Also have some type of graph that shows the server load....

It would have to be TCP, If you miss one packet with UDP your xml file would be corrupted.

more a common tool which can display any kind of information. Als long as the source is in the given format.
so the plugin can be used for anything you want to display.

And no, there will be no web adminstration stuff. it will be only something to display information from any location. There will be no actions or "things" you can do with this. Just disaply.

Eg. you have news on your clan homepage and want to show those important news also at the game server.
Then this plugin would do this for you.
